Friend cannot relieve the owners of war damaged premises from their statutory responsibilities for preventing danger or nuisance to the public. 41W With regard to the payment of ground rent, he would refer the hon. Member to the provisions of the Landlord and Tenant (War Damage) Acts, 1939 and 1941.
