§ Sir G. Hutchinsonasked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether, in view of the excessive quantities of stone, slate, shale and dust mixed with the coals delivered to householders in Ilford this winter, he will take such steps as may be open to him to secure an improvement in the quality of house coals delivered in this neighbourhood.
§ Mr. Geoffrey LloydA householder who is dissatisfied with the quality of his coal should make his complaint to the 183W merchant who supplied it. If the merchant considers the complaint justifiable he can refer it to the National Coal Board in accordance with the recognised procedure. The Board will investigate any complaint made by the merchant and deal with it fairly on its merits. The consumer can of course apply to the local fuel overseer for permission to change his merchant if he considers it reasonable to do so.
