HC Deb 29 November 1951 vol 494 cc161-2W
63. Mr. Hurd

asked the Minister of Agriculture when he expects that arrangements will be completed for the sale of attested cattle at Newbury market.

Sir T. Dugdale

The plans for providing accommodation for attested cattle at Newbury market are being examined by my Department and, subject to a few minor adjustments which might prove necessary, are likely to be approved shortly. The council will then have to apply for a building licence in the normal way, but with the present restrictions on building work of this kind it seems unlikely that a starting date can be given for some time.
