HC Deb 20 November 1951 vol 494 c26W
80. Mr. C. S. Taylor

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury to what extent psychiatrists or psychologists are still employed to give reports on candidates for the Civil and Foreign Services at staff colleges or other institutes for the training of these candidates.

Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

There are in the Civil Service no staff colleges or other institutes for the training of candidates for the Civil and Foreign Services. I assume that the hon. Member is referring to the employment of psychologists in connection with the recruitment of civil servants. One psychologist is so employed at the Civil Service Selection Board.
