HC Deb 19 November 1951 vol 494 c8W
82. Captain Duncan

asked the Minister of Food whether he will maintain the supplies of tinplate to canners at the same rate or an increased rate over 1951 in view of his decision to cut imports of canned fruit and vegetables from abroad.

Major Lloyd George

As my hon. Friend will be aware, the amount of tinplate available is limited, but I will ensure that supplies to canners are kept at the maximum possible level.
