HC Deb 10 May 1951 vol 487 cc250-1W
66. Mr. H. Brooke

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether the arrangements being made as to the civilian pay of reservists in Government employment will ensure that their recall to the Services for 15 days or longer will in no case cause them to suffer financially.

Mr. Jay

The arrangements in question provide for a measure of special leave with pay for those called up for 15 days, and for balance of civil pay for those called up for longer periods. While I cannot say that no financial loss will be incurred in any circumstances, I am satisfied that the arrangements are generally fair.
