§ Mr. J. McKayasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many married couples had an income of less than £5 per week during the year ended March, 1950; if he will have the classification of incomes before tax by family circumstances inserted in future in the same way as in the Inland Revenue Report for the year ended 31st March, 1949, Table 87: and if he will also give the number of dependants or children.
§ Mr. JayAs explained in paragraph 99 of the Inland Revenue Report to which my hon. Friend refers, an income census is being taken for the year ended 31st March, 1950, and the results will be published as soon as they are available. The classification of incomes in the same form as in Table 87 of the 1949 Report will appear in the next Report which will be published in January, 1952.
