HC Deb 10 May 1951 vol 487 c245W
56. Brigadier Medlicott

asked the Minister of Agriculture if his attention has been drawn to the work of the Norwich and District Food Production Council in increasing the amount of domestic food production in Norfolk; and if he will consider encouraging the formation of similar associations in other parts of the country.

Mr. T. Williams

I am well aware of the good work done by this and other local bodies in stimulating interest in domestic food production, but I feel that the development of such bodies is a matter that can best be left to local initiative and to the various national organisations of domestic food producers.
