HC Deb 10 May 1951 vol 487 cc260-1W
Mr. Chetwynd

asked the Secretary of State for Air why full-time service with the Central Advisory Council of Education to His Majesty's Forces during the war is not reckoned as service under A.M.O. No. N. 386, of 19th April, 1951, for incremental pay benefit to temporary non-industrial staff in his employ; and whether he will grant this benefit to employees whose work was wholly concerned with His Majesty's Forces during the war.

Mr. A. Henderson

The arrangements announced in Air Ministry Order N.386/51, for the counting of previous service with the non-Government bodies listed in that Order, result from an agreement reached on the National Whitley Council and apply to temporary non-industrial civil servants generally. In these circumstances, I regret that I am unable to make any addition to the list.
