HC Deb 10 May 1951 vol 487 c260W
Mr. Profumo

asked the Secretary of State for Air what machinery is being devised in respect of the practice bombing range at Idlicote Hill, Warwickshire, in order to give farmers adequate prior notice of bombing programmes, so that they can make cultivation plans; to enable farmers to request the closing of the range for important agricultural operations; to ensure that inhabitants can make immediate representations to the Royal Air Force station concerned in the event of damage or danger caused by bombs dropping outside the range; and whether he will ensure that all those concerned are fully informed of such arrangements.

Mr. A. Henderson

Detailed conditions for the use of this range are now being drawn up. These will be referred to the local interests concerned before they are put into force to ensure that, so far as is practicable, their requirements will satisfactorily be met.
