§ 70. Mr. Spenceasked the Minister or Food whether he is aware that his Department is issuing insufficient meat to enable retail butchers to honour the ration at its present level having regard to the fact that the cutting allowance, instituted when the ration level was higher, is inadequate at an 8d. level; that there is an increasing percentage of unsuitable and wasteful meat being issued by his Department; and if he will increase issues to prevent a breakdown in the system.
