HC Deb 20 March 1951 vol 485 c258W
Mr. J. Arbuthnot

asked the President of the Board of Trade what action he is taking to assist in making fungicides, containing copper, available for use on tea estates to protect the crops against the serious position which has arisen due to blister blight.

Mr. Bottomley

The production of copper fungicides is being affected by shortage of materials, in particular sulphuric and hydrochloric acid. It is expected, however, that reasonable quantities will be available for tea estates in 1951.
