§ Mr. MarquandTwenty-four questions appear on the form for England, including such usual questions as name, sex, age and marital condition, but not all apply to every person. There is a further question on the Welsh language in the form for Wales (including Monmouthshire). In addition, enumerators have to ascertain by enquiry how many living rooms are occupied by the household. All questions have been reduced to simple matters of fact, and instructions and examples are Given on the back of the form. One of the chief duties of enumerators is to give the householder such advice and assistance as may be requested or required. Census publicity has also and will continue to be directed to making the questions familiar.
