§ Mr. D. Marshallasked the Postmaster-General if he is aware of the poor broadcasting reception in the Liskeard rural area and elsewhere in South East Cornwall, as explained to him in a letter from the hon. Member for Bodmin; and if he will take immediate action to improve the position.
§ Mr. Ness EdwardsI understand from the B.B.C. that the Light Programme should be received satisfactorily apart from some fading in mid-winter. Transmissions from Start Point (1052 kilocycles per second, 285 metres) are subject to severe foreign interference at night. Protests have been made which I hope will result in improved reception.
