Mr. Awberyasked the Minister of Local Government and Planning if he is aware of the danger arising out of the delays in carrying out private road improvements in the City of Bristol; what were his reasons for suggesting that the proposals submitted to him recently should be curtailed; and if he will now, in view of the pressing need, review his previous decision.
§ Mr. DaltonThe capital expenditure proposals of many authorities have had to be curtailed at present in the national interest; but I have invited the Bristol City Council to discuss their programme further with my officers.
