§ 102. Brigadier Thorpasked the Minister of Local Government and Planning whether his attention has been drawn to the report made by the district auditor into the financial returns of the Bedlington Urban Council, in which he alleges that the returns were found defective; and if he will institute an inquiry under the Tribunal of Inquiry (Evidence) Act, 1921.
§ Mr. DaltonI have seen the report. The district audit is itself an independent inquiry with rights of appeal from the decisions of the district auditor. No further inquiry by me is necessary.
