Macphersonasked the Minister of Food (1) whether he will publish an analysis of average factory income and expenditure per hundredweight of white sugar or white sugar equivalent produced by the sugar beet factories, on a comparable basis with Table XXXV of the Greene Report, 1934–35, for the year 1938–39 and each of the post-war years;
(2) what were the average manufacturing costs per ton of sugar beet in sugar beet factories, expressed on a comparable basis with Table XIX of the Greene Report, 1934–35, in 1938–39 and in the post-war years.
