HC Deb 26 June 1951 vol 489 c123W
91. Mr. Marples

asked the Minister of Local Government and Planning whether, in view of the fact that a pair of low-cost houses, incorporating the design originally submitted to the Government by the Eastern Federation of Building Trades Employers, is now being erected by private enterprise at Ipswich, he will examine these houses, when completed, and reconsider his objection to their erection by local authorities.

Mr. Dalton

The living rooms and bedrooms in these houses are too small, and they are inferior in other respects to local authority houses now being built in the same area, and are only £15 cheaper.
