§ 28. Mr. Parkerasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will consider with the Government of British Guiana the establishment of their own printing department in view of the high prices charged locally for Government contracts.
§ Mr. J. GriffithsThe Government of British Guiana examined this question in July, 1949. They came to the conclusion that in view of the high capital and recurrent costs of setting up a Government printing establishment it was cheaper for Government printing to be carried out by contract.
