HC Deb 04 June 1951 vol 488 cc86-7W
Major Hicks-Beach

asked the Lord Privy Seal whether he is aware that imported souvenirs are being sold at the South Bank Festival; and if he will take steps to ensure that so far as possible only British made goods will be sold and exhibited there.

Mr. Stokes

The souvenir kiosks in the South Bank Exhibition have been let to concessionaires on the condition that only approved souvenirs are sold and approval has not been given for other than British products. It has not been possible to confirm that imported souvenirs have been sold, but the concessionaires are being reminded of the conditions of their contract.
