HC Deb 04 June 1951 vol 488 c60W
52. Mr. E. Fletcher

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs when he expects to receive the report of the Committee considering the immunity of foreign States against process in the English courts.

Mr. Younger

I understand that the committee hope to submit an interim analysis of the issues for consideration in regard to State immunity. This would not be intended for publication and the committee are likely to propose that its contents should be discussed in confidence with other interested Governments.

I am informed by the chairman of the committee that it is hoped also to submit a report on diplomatic immunity fairly soon. My right hon. Friend will consider the question of publication when the report is received.
