HC Deb 04 June 1951 vol 488 c58W
7. Mr. Osborne

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power what price per ton is charged for the coke supplied to the North Coates Aerodrome; and how much is included for transport.

Mr. P. Noel-Baker

The Air Ministry contract provided for the supply of coke "free-on-rail" at North Thoresby railway station at 79s. 3d. per ton. The cost of transport, partly by road and partly by rail, from Louth Gas Works to North Thoresby railway station was 11s. 10d. per ton. Arrangements have now been made to transport the coke by road direct from the Louth Gas Works to the North Coates aerodrome.
