HC Deb 06 July 1951 vol 489 cc250-1W
Lieut.-Colonel Bromley-Davenport

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the amount of each class of hydrocarbon oils retained for home consumption during the year ended 31st March, 1951; and the net amount received in respect of duty thereon showing, in particular, the amounts received in respect of motor spirit and heavy oils used as fuel in road vehicles.

Mr. Jay

The desired particulars are as follow:

women in the administrative and executive service Department by Department.

Mr. Jay

No. The differentials vary throughout Civil Service scales from nothing (equal pay being common at recruitment ages) to a maximum of 20 per cent., with an overriding limit of £.175. To set out in detail the differentials at each point on the scales of all general service and departmental classes which might be broadly classified as administrative and executive, would involve an unreasonable amount of work.
