HC Deb 02 July 1951 vol 489 c177W
50. Major Lloyd

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will make a statement on the position that has arisen through the imposition of regulations requiring British firms to submit elaborate details of goods passing through the Soviet Zone of Germany to the West.

Mr. Ernest Davies

There has recently been some difficulty over West Berlin's communications, but the situation has considerably improved as a result of local action. It is hoped that experts representing the four Commandants in Berlin will meet shortly for the purpose of reaching a settlement of the difficulties. In view of this I would prefer to say no more at present.
