HC Deb 02 July 1951 vol 489 c190W
102. Mr. Kaberry

asked the Minister of Food what arrangements, by licensing or otherwise, he proposes to make in order to enable present stocks of sterilised cream to be sold to the public or trade after 1st July.

Mr. Webb

It was in order to give ample notice to traders to clear their stocks by 3rd July that I announced the ban on cream sales well in advance—nearly a month ago, in fact. This period of notice should have been adequate to enable traders to clear their stocks.
