HC Deb 26 February 1951 vol 484 c243W
37. Mr. Turton

asked the Minister of Food what steps he is taking to secure for the inhabitants of Hawnby a supply of milk, during the period whilst the local producer-retailer is not being permitted to continue his supply.

Mr. Webb

An employee of the producer-retailer concerned contracted typhoid fever and the milk supply was stopped by the medical officer of health. As soon as my Department was notified of this interruption in supply, it arranged for the village to get supplies of bottled milk, and these are now available.
