asked the Minister of Food what was the value of the imported beef and veal, other than corned, sold on the ration during the year 1950; and what was the value of the imports of canned beef and veal and of any other description of beef and veal not sold as rationed meat during the year 1950.

Bone-in-beef and veal are sold mainly on the ration, and boneless meat mainly for manufacturing purposes. Of the other descriptions of beef and veal only canned corned meat is sold on the ration.
