§ 69. Mr. Dyeasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he has now come to a decision as to the future of the land previously held under requisition by his Department in Methwold Fen; and in particular whether any will be compulsorily acquired by the land commission.

Mr. T. WilliamsI am proposing to acquire, under Section 85 of the Agriculture Act, 1947, the 153 acres of land at present under requisition at Methwold Fen. The remaining 270 acres which were under requisition at Methwold were released in 1950 and are not being purchased.
