asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many unsolved murders there were during 1950; and how many there have been in 1951 to date.

The number of unsolved murders in 1950 was 14, of which 11 were of children under one year old. In 1951 the number of murders committed up to the end of June (the latest date for which figures are available) and not cleared up by that date was five.
