HC Deb 02 August 1951 vol 491 c245W
92. Mr. Hayman

asked the Minister of Education how many children of secondary school age in Penryn, Cornwall, are in the primary schools of that borough; what steps are being taken to provide a secondary modern school for them; and when he expects it to be available.

Mr. Tomlinson

In January, 1951, there were 153 pupils aged 11 or over in all-age primary schools in the Municipal Borough of Penryn. These pupils will attend the new Falmouth Secondary Modern School included in the Cornwall Local Education Authority's building programme for 1952–53. The school should be ready for occupation some time in 1955.
