Mr. Pryde

asked the President of the Board of Trade how many new factories have been built in Scotland since July, 1945; and in what counties they are situated.

Two hundred and eighty-seven new factories and 332 factory extensions of 5,000 square feet and over have been built in Scotland since July, 1945. The table below shows the counties in which these 619 factories and extensions are situated:
