HC Deb 19 April 1951 vol 486 cc179-80W
44. Mr. W. Fletcher

asked the Minister of Health if he is aware that there is a shortage of certain hospital supplies, especially gauze and methylated spirits in hospitals in the north-west region; and what steps he is proposing to take to remedy these shortages.

Mr. Marquand

I understand that the normal needs of hospitals for methylated spirits are now being met. I am in touch with the hospital authority concerned about shortage of gauze and I shall give them all the help I can as soon as I know the details.
