HC Deb 19 April 1951 vol 486 c177W
Mr. Grimond

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, in his proposed regulations, he intends to impose preliminary training for children who are to be emigrated.

Mr. Ede

I have reached no decision on the contents of the regulations to be made under section 33 of the Children Act, 1948, to control the making and carrying out by voluntary organisations of arrangements for the emigration of children, but the question of the provision of pre-migration training will naturally be considered.
