§ 85. Sir J. Mellorasked the Minister of Health what information he published with regard to the right to make confidential returns under the Census Regulations, 1950; and why this information was not printed upon the form for making returns.
§ Mr. MarquandI would refer the hon. Member to the Written Answer I gave to the hon. Member for Somerset, North, on 1st February. The Press, both national and local, and the B.B.C. have since given the widest publicity to the right to make a separate confidential return. The Census Officers and the enumerators have also explained the position as necessary. A reference to the right, as it affected the householder, was included in the form.
