HC Deb 04 April 1951 vol 486 c15W
12. Mr. Leather

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what steps His Majesty's Government are proposing to take to secure war damage compensation from the Austrian Government on behalf of British nationals.

Mr. H. Morrison

In the draft of the Austrian Treaty there are provisions, agreed to by all four negotiating Powers, for the payment by the Austrian Government of war damage compensation to all United Nations nationals, including, of course, British nationals, on a basis of treatment no less favourable than that accorded to Austrian nationals.
