§ 54. Mr. Errollasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer why the 1949 Account of the Post Office Savings Banks were presented in dummy on 28th June, 1950; and when full accounts will be made available.
§ Mr. JayThis Account has, under the Savings Banks Act of 1904 to be laid before Parliament not later than 30th June. The complex calculations involved in its preparation meant that this year, as in many previous years, a dummy presentation was necessary. The full Account was available to hon. Members on 16th August.
