§ 113. Mr. Thornton-Kemsleyasked the Minister of Agriculture what is preventing the import of turkeys from Italy and Yugoslavia, both of which countries supplied us before the war with excellent turkeys of 7 lb. to 12 lb. in weight; and what he proposes to do to enable this trade to be resumed.
§ Mr. G. BrownThe importation of poultry carcases from a number of countries including Italy and Yugoslavia is prohibited by the Poultry Carcases (Importation) Order, 1950, because of the risk that they would cause outbreaks of fowl pest in our own poultry flock.
