Mr. Orbachasked the Minister of Town and Country Planning what steps he proposes to take to deal with the housing problem in Willesden, where there are 8,800 families on the borough council's waiting list for accommodation, in view of the fact that the Hemel Hempstead scheme is not likely to meet the demand for many years to come, and in view of the shortage of building land in the borough.
§ Mr. DaltonIt is anticipated that, in addition to Hemel Hempstead, the new towns of Stevenage, Welwyn, Hatfield and Harlow will assist in relieving the housing shortage in Willesden.
