HC Deb 04 May 1950 vol 474 c212W
33. Mr. Dodds-Parker

asked the Minister of Health how much he estimates will be saved by cutting the allowance to chemists for medicinal bottles from 2½d. to 1¼d; and how much is being spent on the advertising campaign to encourage recipients of bottles to return them to chemists.

Mr. Bevan

In a full year I hope that the saving may be something like £1 million. Expenditure on central advertising has totalled just under £2,000.
