25. Mr. Erroll

asked the Minister of Health if he is now in a position to make available evidence as to the percentage of deaf people who continue to use their Medresco hearing aids after an initial period of six months.

Mr. Bevan

I have nothing yet to add to what I told the hon. Member on 23rd March last.

87. Sir J. Lucas

asked the Minister of Health when a lady, of whose address he has been informed, and who applied on 1st February, 1949, for a deaf aid is likely to receive the appliance.

Mr. Bevan

I am informed that it is hoped to fit this patient in July.

118. Mr. Powell

asked the Minister of Health what is the present length of delay in supply of hearing aids to priority cases in the area served by the Birmingham hearing aid clinic.

Mr. Bevan

The waiting period varies, with the priority of the case, from one month to two years.
