§ 79. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many crimes of violence for which persons were convicted in Great Britain during each of the years ending 31st December, 1940, to 31st December, 1949, respectively, were proved to have been committed by absentees or deserters from His Majesty's Forces who were untraced until they were arrested for the crimes of which they were so convicted.
