72. Mr. Leslie Haleasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury what are the conditions now prescribed for a grant of a reader's ticket at the British Museum.
§ Mr. JayApplicants are granted readers' tickets for periods of up to six months, on showing that the research and reference which they wish to do is such as cannot be carried on elsewhere. Applications must be accompanied by a written recommendation from a person of recognised position, based on personal knowledge of the applicant, and certifying that the applicant is a fit and proper person to use the Reading Room.
