§ 81. Mr. Aitkenasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if, in view of the shortage of telephones, he will give an assurance that adequate provision has been made for telephone services for Civil Defence organisations to function in the event of war.
§ Mr. EdeI recognise the importance of this matter and I am in close touch with my right hon. Friend the Postmaster-General so as to ensure the provision of adequate telephone facilities for Civil Defence in the event of need.
