§ 76. Sir W. Smithersasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the total 106W of the nominal amount of securities held by the National Insurance Fund at 31st March, 1950; what was their cost price; and what is their present market value.
§ Mr. JayAn account showing the nominal amount of the securities in the National Insurance Fund at 31st March, 1950, was laid before Parliament on 13th June last. The cost price and market values of the securities will appear in the Accounts of the Fund for 1949–50 which will be presented in due course under the provisions of the National Insurance Act 1946. In accordance with long-standing practice I am not prepared to anticipate the information given in Statutory Accounts.
