§ Mr. G. Jegerasked the President of the Board of Trade what recent changes he has made in the class of case in which the National Film Finance Corporation are authorised to make loans.
Mr. H. WilsonThe Corporation have now had considerable experience of the working of the Act, and, accordingly, I have authorised them, where they see fit, to make loans to persons engaged in the business of producing cinematograph films without attaching the specific provisos 45W about organisation, experience, and private investment, which I mentioned in the answer I gave on 3rd February, 1949, to the then hon. Member for Bradford, South (Mr. Craddock). In granting this authorisation I have told the Corporation that I presume, in cases where private investment can reasonably be expected, it would be their intention to secure it.
