§ 65. Mr. Bevinsasked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the claim of the British Transport Commission made in paragraph 9 of their Second Annual Report that few matters have been referred to the Consultative Committees, he will state the address of the Consultative Committee to which complaints in the Liverpool-Manchester area should have been referred.
§ Mr. BarnesA Transport Users Consultative Committee for the North-West Area, which includes the Liverpool-Manchester area, is now in course of being appointed. In the meantime any representations regarding the services provided by the British Transport Commission in this area should be addressed to the Secretary of the Central Transport Consultative Committee for Great Britain, at 22, Palace Chambers, Bridge Street, Westminster, S.W.1.
§ Mr. McAddenasked the Minister of Transport how many of the Consultative Committees, referred to in paragraph 9 of the Second Annual Report of the Transport Commission, other than those established for Wales, Scotland and London, were in fact in existence during 1949; and what were their addresses.
§ Mr. BarnesNone. As I have previously informed the House, however, I am now in the process of setting up eight further Committees, and when this has been done the whole of the country will be covered.
