§ 82. Mr. Pooleasked the Minister of Transport why a "C" licence is given to an individual rather than in respect of a vehicle; and if he is satisfied that this method is the most suitable that can be devised.
§ Mr. BarnesThe Road and Rail Traffic Act, 1933, requires that the grant of a carrier's licence shall be to the person using the vehicle. I see no sufficient reason for any change.
§ 83. Mr. Pooleasked the Minister of Transport if he will now publish the estimate formed by his Department at the time the Transport Act, 1947, was before this House of the extent to which vehicles operating under "C" licence would increase in the following three years.
