HC Deb 04 April 1950 vol 473 cc126-7W
91. Mr. Stewart

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what information is available at the Department of Health on the number of ploughmen's service cottages in Fife, and in Scotland as a whole, which could be improved by an extension of the provisions of the 1949 Act to cover reconditioning of such houses; and if he will cause a full survey to be made of such houses throughout the country.

Mr. T. Fraser

No information is available about the number of ploughmen's service cottages requiring improvement. As my right hon. Friend the Minister of Health stated on 9th March, arrangements are being made for a comprehensive national housing survey to be held in due course.
