HC Deb 04 April 1950 vol 473 c133W
108. Mr. Erroll

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power how many extra dollars would have to be expended in order to double the basic petrol ration.

Mr. Robens

Doubling the present standard ration of 90 miles a month (excluding the summer bonus) would cost approximately 12 million dollars f.o.b. since any additional consumption in the U.K. at the moment would have a 100 per cent. dollar cost.
