Colonel Clarkeasked the Minister of Health when Miss Jefford of 71 De La Warr Road, East Grinstead, who is headmistress of a large primary school, may expect to receive her spectacles ordered by her oculist, Mr. Symons of 232 London Road, East Grinstead, in May, 1949, from Messrs. Melson Wingate, Limited, of 105B, Old Christchurch Road, Bourne-mouth, in view of the importance of her work and of the detriment to her health caused through lack of them.
§ Mr. BevanI cannot undertake to investigate every individual case, but have made special inquiries in this instance and am informed that this lady should receive her glasses soon.
